The Humble Trestle Table
Who could believe that the humble trestle table could become such a star in its own right? The dawn of the rustic wedding and banquet style dining has certainly elevated it to a position of huge importance. I’m now constantly being asked the width of ours, what the legs are like, does it need a cloth and so on.
For those who wish for the truly authentic barn/rustic look, and have the budget for amazing oak and reclaimed wood trestle tables, that are now available to hire from our vintage hire colleagues, are fantastic.
Unfortunately Fanfare does not stock these particular tables. We’ll leave them to the specialists. However for those where authenticity isn’t the be all and end all and budget is key, our trestles may fit the bill. Peculiarly the food that is served on them tastes the same and the party around them, every bit as good! They are also just as happy helping out the caterers for service in the background, for children to be entertained around; in a nutshell the trestle table is extremely versatile.
They have a metal leg folding system and are functional and practical. They may not be as authentic as their beautifully crafted, richer, more glamorous cousins but will happily be covered in a any choice of cloth, runner, floral centrepiece, candle and dinner ware. Our trestles are 6’ long and are either 2’6” wide or our older ones are 2’3”. The wider ones are perfect if you are keen to have lots of decoration on the table. And you can collect your trestles from us for just £3 and NO VAT.
