Looking Forward
2016 is almost done. What. A. Year! Thank you so much for your custom and support this year; here at Fanfare Event Hire, we are really looking forward to 2017 for lots of reasons. So, with that in mind, here’s our resolutions (for however long we can keep them) – we’d love to hear yours!
“I’ve never been one for specific resolutions; purely because I am rubbish at keeping to them. Health, wealth and happiness always feature heavily in my wish list and I wish, more than ever this coming year, for more calm in the world. Being kind to each other is a small and simple thing, so I’m working towards that and hoping it spreads.” (Branwen)
“Finding the right balance is key for me and mine this coming year. Running your own business is a pleasure and a curse. My resolution is to find that little space between too much work and not enough and then set up camp there! That and enough hard earned cash to buy a boat!! Most of all, I want to keep the MotherBrown family happy, healthy and living life to the full, down by the sea.” (Christopher)
“I often reflect on my year in December and what a year I have had. I’ve met some wonderful people whilst delivering for Fanfare and been to some amazing locations and venues. I am proud too that on occasions I have not cried in front of our customers when they mention “it’s just up those three flights of stairs” when I have a load of huge tables or an oven to move from A to B. This along with the non-existent lock on the Land Rover has proved challenging at times! No need for a gym membership for me. Thanks to Fanfare I’m as fit as a fiddle!
“I am greatly looking forward to the New Year. Apart from working with Fan, I am also embarking on a career as a part time paramedic. Exciting times!
“My resolutions for 2017 are to remain completely calm when the satnav goes off piste and clearly has no idea, and to ensure that wherever Fan sends me I will not get stuck and that, where possible, it will be one load not two.” (Nicky)
“Like Bran, I’m not normally one for New Year resolutions. I too am rubbish at keeping them. It’s usually to be tidier! After all these years and resolutions my knickers still end up with my socks, wellies still tripping people up at the back door and car keys never put back where they should be etc etc.
“So on a more do-able footing looking ahead to 2017 I’m thinking along the lines more of a resolve to continue what I have started at Fanfare this year. I am looking forward to forming new partnerships with venues and caterers, adding new lines to our stock if necessary and hopefully establishing Fanfare as a small but perfectly formed event hire company. As for tidiness never fear. Our unit is immaculate. My brilliant right hand girl, Nicky, keeps me and our unit tidy. I have learned so much this year from my new friend Bran about marketing, branding etc. I’ve loved it and keen to learn more. Bring it on!” (Frances)
Merry Christmas and a very, Happy New Year to you! And don’t forget, we are open on Christmas Eve for all your festive party requirements.
